There is water on Mike's left hand because he asked if he could wash his hands before I made this image of him holding his "favorite book." While shooting an image of his hands being even dirtier might have made for a better photo, I felt it was important to not treat him differently than any other photo subject I was covering that might have made a similar request. Nothing celebrates the spirit of the season than a Toys For Tots Drive.
