This image was taken with my iPhone while waiting for my plane to arrive inside the Reno/Tahoe Airport main terminal. This is actually a refection in the window. I liked the surreal nature of the image, the grain, the cowboy hats and just the overall scene.For the final day of the Black & White challenge, I nominate fellow Reno photographer and photojournalist David Parker. There is water on Mike's left hand because he asked if he could wash his hands before I made this image of him holding his "favorite book." While shooting an image of his hands being even dirtier might have made for a better photo, I felt it was important to not treat him differently than any other photo subject I was covering that might have made a similar request. This image was taken near dusk and I believe the exposure was around 20 or 30 seconds on a lightweight tripod I carry with me.
