Black & White Challenge: Day 5—The Final Chapter

This image was taken with my iPhone while waiting for my plane to arrive inside the Reno/Tahoe Airport main terminal. This is actually a refection in the window. I liked the surreal nature of the image, the grain, the cowboy hats and just the overall scene.For the final day of the Black & White challenge, I nominate fellow Reno photographer and photojournalist David Parker. I met David while interning at the Reno Gazette-Journal a long, long time ago. Have fun, David!

I had been looking for a new, light, inconspicuous, Micro FourThirds format camera for doing documentary street and wedding photography when I saw legendary Magnum and National Geographic photographer David Alan Harvey recommend this little beauty—a Panasonic Lumix GX7.Panasonic is not the first company I think of when I think of professional still photography equipment, but this little digital camera with a rangefinder-like feel seems like the real deal. Best of all, this format accepts some lenses made by Zeiss and Leica.
